Are we investing wisely?

Uncategorized Aug 16, 2017

A recent report suggests that the average British women spends £1042 on clothes each year. An average of £74 per month!

I don’t know about you but being completely honest here, based on my spending habits, this is a conservative number. The report also highlights the reason for the spend is directly related to how clothes make us feel which I’m sure we can all appreciate.

But here’s why I ask the question ladies. One of the top reasons for making a purchase is to make us feel ‘better’. So we’re purchasing an external garment to address our internal emotions which of course is a short term fix. Many of these purchases will remain in the wardrobe with the tags in tact.

Can our money be better invested by seeking to focus on the reason we’re having the feelings in the first place? I believe the answer is yes. Let’s stop looking externally for the plaster and invest in our inner power to Rise Up!
